The part everyone worries about…
You don’t need a finished plan to get married here, you just need a bit of an idea. That’s the starting point.
We’re not a stuffy venue that hands you a package and wishes you luck.
Andrea and the team take your half-formed thoughts or slightly wild suggestions and shape them into something that’s magical on the day.
It’s why people often say they didn’t know how to explain what they wanted… until suddenly it’s standing right in front of them.
You bring the vision (even the messy version).
We’ll take it from there.
...and to do this your way.
The Fold is a food-led, family-run wedding and events venue for couples who want their wedding to feel like them… and full of moments people didn’t see coming.
From intimate ceremonies to full-scale celebrations, we’ll shape it around you.
Themes, concepts & big ideas
(yes, really)
This is where things get interesting…
If you’re imagining more than a colour palette and a seating plan - an actual vibe - you’re in the right place.
Just some of the ideas we’ve worked with;

food-led & destination inspired
Italian wedding / Italian piazza energy
Mamma Mia garden party meets disco later
Mediterranean, family-style feasting vibes
World-food themes tied to travel, places, memories

Classic-with-
a-twist
Rustic English garden (but elevated, not jam jars)
Old-money / Goodfellas energy (tailoring, cigars, confidence)
Monochrome, pared-back, editorial weddings with edge

Playful &
theatrical
Disco hidden behind a wall or curtain
Vegas-style surprise moments
Unexpected room reveals and transitions
Alice in Wonderland–style moments (but more curious than cartoon)

Need a bit more space?
That’s where a marquee or tipi can come in as an option.
Whether it’s for more guests or a specific vision that needs extra space to breathe. We can set it alongside the rest of The Fold’s spaces to make the day work exactly how you want it to.
Décor, details & “yes… we probably have that”
This is the bit where people usually panic. Tables. Chairs. Crockery. Styling. All the stuff.
We’ve got you covered.
Furniture, cutlery, crockery, glassware, games, backdrops, styling pieces, no last-minute hires that don’t quite match. No van-loads of stress.
And if you’ve got something specific in mind that we don’t already own? We’ll source it. Or make it. Or find a clever workaround.

PS. Planning something elsewhere? A lot of our décor, furniture and styling bits are available to hire too!

The little surprises....
This is the part guests don’t expect, and always remember.
A prosecco living wall, a ring-for-champagne moment, secret rooms or surprises you wander into.
It’s the stuff people talk about for a long time afterwards.
That’s the difference.

Food-led weddings
Let’s be honest. people definitely remember the food.
At The Fold, food isn’t a tick-box or an add-on, it’s the backbone of the day and pulls everyone together.
With thirty years of proper catering experience, weddings, events, big numbers, high pressure. Andrew and the team know how food works in real life, not just on a menu.
What that means for you...
-
Menus that fit the feel of your day, not just the format
-
Food that arrives hot, on time, and as promised
-
Service that feels smooth, not staged
-
Guests who are fed well and don’t disappear hunting for snacks
